Escalating

On this sweltering Sunday night i was wearing my trusty flip flops as usual and walking to my room down the dimly lit hallway (bulb's burnt out) when i saw a big insect shadow moving ahead and i thought "Ew. Rain spider!" so i stepped on it. But when i lifted my foot it came after me so i really stomped on it this time. "Crunch!" It stopped moving so i went on my way.

I came back with my flashlight about a minute later to see what i'd killed but it was gone! And i saw that it was dragging itself two feet further down the hall--but wait. "That looks like a lobster--oooooh, it's a scorpion!" And this time i stomped and twisted & stomped and twisted away with my flip flops until he was really squished and his pointy to pdart tail was broken to bits!!!

And THEN i thought, "Hhmm. I prolly should've had better shoes on for that tap dance!" 😱
